"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:"
1 Peter 4:10
Clayton has been our Pastor since December 2019, and we're so grateful to have him! He and his wonderful wife, Sally, have been happily married since 1990 and are proud parents to their adult daughter, Caitlin.
Clayton discovered his passion for ministry at just 15 years old and started pastoring a small country church when he was 19 while studying at Ouachita Baptist University. Since then, he has shared his gifts in churches across Texas and Arkansas.
Now, he feels truly blessed to be the Pastor at FBC Maud, where he can connect with all of us in our community. Clayton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, a Master’s degree in Divinity, and a Doctorate in Ministry from Louisiana Baptist University and Seminary, making him not only a caring leader but also someone with a strong foundation in his faith.
"Yes Lord, while walking in the ways of Your Word we wait on You. Your Name and Your Glory is the desire of our heart." Isaiah 26:8
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
James 1:17

Sean Baskin grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas, where he graduated from Magnolia High School in 2014. He is one of three children. Following high school, Sean attended Central Baptist College, where he was a member of both the baseball and cross-country teams for the Mustangs. He graduated in the spring of 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
After college, Sean spent six years teaching and coaching at Simms ISD, Linden-Kildare CISD, and Redwater ISD. During this time, he also served bi-vocationally at Siloam Baptist Church, where his love for ministry continued to grow. Having served in ministry for ten years, Sean is grateful for every opportunity the Lord has given him to serve others and share the Gospel.
Sean was ordained in March 2024 and joined the staff of First Baptist Church Maud the following month. He currently serves as Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship, where he is passionate about leading students and the congregation in worship and spiritual growth.
Sean and his wife, Brittany, are blessed with two sons, Asher and Nathan. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, working on projects, and staying active. He also leads One True King Ministries, traveling to worship and preach when he is not serving at FBC Maud.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
